1. Who we are
SwissPassCalculator (“we”, “us”) operates swisspasscalculator.com, an AI-powered Swiss rail pass comparison tool. Our contact email is hello@swisspasscalculator.com.
2. What data we collect
Chat conversations. When you use the calculator, the messages you type (your trip details) are sent to our backend to generate a recommendation. We do not store conversation history beyond your active session.
Email address. If you purchase a full report, we collect your email address to deliver the report and send a payment confirmation via Stripe and Sequenzy.
Payment data. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe’s privacy policy applies to payment processing.
Analytics. We use Plausible Analytics — a privacy-first, cookieless analytics tool. No personal data is collected. No cookies are set.
3. How we use your data
We use your data solely to: (a) provide the pass recommendation service; (b) deliver your paid report by email; (c) understand aggregate usage trends via Plausible Analytics. We do not sell your data to third parties.
4. Data retention
Active session data is held in memory and expires after 2 hours. Paid session records (session ID, email, amount paid) are retained in our database for up to 2 years for legal and accounting purposes.
5. Third-party services
We use the following services: Anthropic (AI inference), Stripe (payments), Sequenzy (transactional email), Plausible Analytics (cookieless analytics), Railway (hosting), Vercel (frontend hosting), Supabase (database). Each service has its own privacy policy.
6. Your rights
You may request deletion of your email and payment record by contacting us at hello@swisspasscalculator.com. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Cookies
We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising. Plausible Analytics operates without cookies.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be noted with an updated date above.
